RB Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi makes long-awaited return from injury
Gulacsi has been out for over a year with a knee injury
The Hungarian international is back in training and could feature in Leipzig's next match
RB Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi has made his long-awaited return to competitive football after 357 days out injured.
The Hungarian international played 90 minutes in a friendly against FC Sion on Saturday, keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 win.
Gulacsi tore his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in last season's Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.
The 32-year-old has been working hard on his rehabilitation and is now back to full fitness.
Gulacsi's return is a major boost for Leipzig, who have been without a number one goalkeeper for much of the season.
The Hungarian is expected to start in Leipzig's next match, which is a Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund on Friday.
Gulacsi's return is a major boost for Leipzig, who are currently third in the Bundesliga and still in contention for the title.
