Deadly Quake Raises Concerns About Tsunami

San Diego Dodges Devastating Aftermath

San Diego, CA - A powerful 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck Northern California early Tuesday morning, leaving at least two people dead and raising concerns about a potential tsunami.

The quake, which struck approximately 80 miles northwest of San Diego, sent shockwaves through the region, causing widespread damage and power outages. The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the quake was initially registered as a 6.2 magnitude, but was later revised to 6.4.

Emergency responders have been dispatched to the affected areas, where they are working to assess the damage and assist survivors. The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that two people have died as a result of the earthquake, and there are reports of additional injuries.

The earthquake also triggered a tsunami warning for California, Oregon, and Washington, but the warning was lifted several hours later after relatively small waves hit the coast.
